I think he was still trying to figure out what her powers would be. I think that may be why we never saw her using the stepping disks until her origin mini.

Cyclops’ powers didn’t instantly get decrease as soon as he was out of sunlight, like Berto did.

Okay but how would things have been better had she joined in #1? You still havent answered that question and almost seem to reinforce what I said

I didnt say every character got a chance to shine. "before Magik" . Obviously that implies characters that were there before her. Rahne, Karma, Sam, Bobby, and Amara all had oppurtunities to shine before Magik. FYI, Warlock did even after he and Illyana joined bc he was one of the other breakout characters who's own backstory drove story in a way that Cypher never did.

The solar absoprtion thing was more of a throwaway line to explain his powers n the 60s and nothing that ever came into practice with Scott

    it's the writers' oversight.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclop..._and_abilities

Cyclops emits beams of energy from his eyes, described as "optic blasts", which have the appearance of red light and deliver massive concussive force. His cells constantly absorb solar energy.

Just like Havok's energy blasts came from absorbing cosmic rays in the sky.

Its not an oversight as its not something that any writer has done. His powers have never been depened on the the amount of solar energy he is able to absorb

Instead of having flotsam like Beak, Angel, Glob, and Armour, why not make home and away teams with both New Mutants and the original resurrected Hellions.

    Space/Hickman team could be:

Bobby, Sam, Catseye, Bevatron , Roulette, Yana, Doug, Karma, and Beef.

    Home/Brisson team could be:

Dani, Rahne, Amara, Jetstream, Tarot, Rictor, Boom-Boom, Empath and Warpath

It could be interesting to explore the dynamics introduced in the very first Hellion's appearances, such as Catseye and Rahne's connection, or Tarot's crush on Sam, all these years later, by having the original Hellions integrate with the original New Mutants (as something quite deliberately engineered by Emma, who feels that the recently resurrected Hellions need some stability and familiarity around them, and not to feel like they've been barfed back up by the resurrection protocols and then promptly abandoned).

the lack of hellions content we've received so far in the krakoan era is a crime.

I’m in agreement about more Hellion interaction with the New Mutants. It is long overdue. I always say to write to Marvel with your requests.

I’m so glad there are OG Hellions fans out there besides me. I’ve loved Roulette since Uncanny 193. The sheer bitchiness in her face over the trouble she was causing the X-Men made her my favorite instantly.

With resurrection I don’t think there’s a need for finding the next generation of leaders

I love the rivalry between original New Mutants and the Hellions in the old days too. Hopefully, we will be able to see more original Hellions in this series.

All we are seeing now is Glob, Armor, French kids which is not really what most of us want to see.

WE need some new leaders if for no other reason than to give the current ones some rest. Develop some new ones so we can give a damn

i feel their rivalry was more like its own brand of friendship because the two groups got along rather quickly
