Not many Americans read Captain Britain series so we didn't really know her age. Was she in her early 20s when she was introduced in New Mutants Annual?

She wasnt intended to be a teenager. I think there might be confusion bc when she joined she questioned if it would have been more appropriate for her to be with the New Mutants as a novice student or the X-men. With that said, Brian appeared in her first X-issue so it was clear that she was an adult bc he was

Everyone gives Colossus grief for Piotr/Kitty, but was fine for its time (both teens).

But no one bats an eye for Betsy/Doug. And she was one of the oldest Outback members.

That was because Kitty was pretty much acting like the Spoiled Brat she was. The others never really acted like she did.

Meanwhile, poor 18 year old clueless Piotr gets taken advantage of by two Savage Land women, and Logan just lets them go off.

If the roles were reversed with two Savage Land men taking off with an 18 year old mutant female, you bet Logan would have stopped them.
