I think a lot of people don't realize that Doug has body language power since Chris's days.

I believe this is New Mutants #53 in the Hellfire Club.




It's just that it was first used in a battle during Zeb Wells run.

Nobody has issue with Doug reading body language.

But Character has vague power, and i will make it as esoteric as possible to make em powerful just reads like "I'M SO SMRT. Look how big my brain is as an author." and it's just lame.

But we never got to see it.

I think Chris Claremont would have got Doug a romantic relationship with someone from Hellfire Club had he stayed on as writer.

Instead we had a mediocre writer who decided to kill him off.

I haven't read Secret Wars 2 outside the New Mutants and FF issues.

It's supposed to be Illyana but her head being in line with Sam's power signature caused a coloring error.. Amara wasn't there for this fight. This was the issue where the Beyonder turned her into the Darkchild and she freaked and transported Kitty, Dazzler, Rahel, and Sam to Limbo. At this point Magma and Roberto were still with the Gladiators and Karma wasn't revealed to be alive yet.

I don't think any writer after Claremont has been interested about the Hellions? Pretty much none of the threads he left were picked up. It would be nice to have some of them get together with Old New Mutants and reminisce bad old times.

I'd definitely read a Hellions comics featuring Warpath, Magma (or Firestar), Jetstream, Catseye, Tarot and Roulette.
I don't know much about Beef and Bevatron. Don't even know where they appeared and what kind of people they were before getting killed by Fitzroy.

Both debuted in a New Warriors comic. Im interested in seeing them and believe they deserve a spot on this hypothetical book bc they are pretty much blank slates
