lol yea it's part of what makes Rogue appealing to some writers though. The inherent angst of her powers makes for overdone drama...

Sadly that is true... It's a shame, really. I don't deny that she deserves to be in love. More than deserves. She had a damn rough time of things. My problem starts with how she is written. She and Gambit, by definition, are not your classic couple. They shouldn't be written as such.

I agree. They both come from crazy background(s), Rogue raised as a mutant terrorist and Gambit is still currently the King of Thieves. I know (and loved) Rogue's stint as Avenger, but I would appreciate them being written more 'grey' characters.

I low-key really appreciate that they impulsively stole Kitty's wedding lol. That's the kind of twist they should have as a couple.

Yes but who are they? Both have strong values and are heroic, but neither see the world in black in white. That's been emphasized a lot in their history.
