Rogue Appreciation 2020

Black and Green has always been my favourite colour combination for Rogue. And especially her Outback outfit. Green boots and gloves and this update would be 100% perfect (minus the jacket and pouches...ugh!)

Yes the boots and gloves should be green too, I thought they were at first.

And agree completely about the pouches and jacket, it seems that so often artists want to do too much with Rogue's outfit and add a bunch of unnecessary accoutrements.

Is it bad that I want Rogue and Magneto to interact again ? I certainly don't want a romance to be rekindled, but I wish the writers would remember the two characters knowing each other, and not just a little

I wouldn't mind it myself but it would just be awkward since Rogue is married now.

Maybe if Gambit was ever cool with Magneto but as far as I know they both dislike each other.

No bad, no. I would like to see her as an agent of Mags. Kinda pissed she's not a Captain alongside Magik and Cyclops.

Because you should care about how your spouse feels on the subject? It's extremely insensitive if you don't. Trust is important of course but boundaries are equally important when maintaining relationships.

The only real concessions personally I would take on that front is if a person was friends with an ex first and they had decided post break up they were better off as friends. This is why Jean/Ororo/Logan doesn't feel weird in comparison.

Obviously this is different depending on the couple and its different if its based on work or children from past marriages but as far as we know Rogue has no reason to talk to Magneto outside of missions. They were never that close outside of their relationship.

This, pretty much. They were never ‘actually’ friends, Hardly even ‘co-workers’, even when on the same team and when writers weren’t trying to tease a ‘relationship’they never even spoke to each other, for years at a time. Even when carey was trying to make the relationship work, he never fixed that and magneto still talked to her like he was the ‘boss’ most of the the time.

I get the magneto is hickman’s favorite, and it shows, and if rogue was talking to magneto, in any context, maybe Hickman would notice and write her as a more important character. But that’s not remotely guaranteed to happen.

It's a good costume, just tired of it a bit.

Also give me something that is not primarily green or yellow as costume again please.

Something based on her Red Guard outfit in HoM would be wonderful. <3
