I would pay money to see the following:

For an incorrect response, Steve would yell "Nuh-uh!" at the contestants and run over and Stone Cold Stun them. Maybe knock them over with a high pressure fire hose of beer.

Also, last Friday's Jeopardy's champion, Dennis, is a bartender at the place I occasionally visit. So, he is one of the few contestants I've met in real life.

Edit: I think I've met one other regular Joe, and I've met Stephen King -- pretty sure he was on the celeb version years ago

Personally, I'd like to see someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson to host the show.

Does our reality determine our fiction or does our fiction determine our reality?

Whenever the question comes up about who some mysterious person is or who is behind something the answer will always be Frank Stallone.

That was always my first thought whenever I'd think about Trebek eventually retiring. I know its entertainment as well but the idea of a comedian or newsman/woman hosting doesn't do anything for me. I'd rather an actual intellectual in some form, whom also happens to have a presence for TV.

Well, he wasn't exactly new 36 years ago. I remember Trebek on High Rollers and other game shows, including The $128,000 Question which was the first trivia show I regularly watched (I was just too young to have known much about anything when Art Fleming was on ).

His appearance on that video was the first time I had seem him since the end of the original Jeopardy! (unlike Don Pardo, who was ubiquitous on WNBC and also on Saturday Night Live during that time).
