Garney was awesome as a Daredevil artist. One of my favorites in a long line of great ones.

Maleev is also my favorite DD artist yet I also loved Samnee's art.

I also agree that I never got how people say that it was too light hearted. It had some pretty dark moments in particular with Foggy and Maggie. The arc with Maggie and the explanation of her backstory was so heartbreaking and wonderfully executed by Waid as it clearly demonstrates his talents as a writer. Also loved how he depicted Matt & Foggy's relationship. I guess if people wanted to argue that the book became a bit more traditionally "comic booky" in its stories and not so much a crime hardened noir book I could see that being an issue; however, the quality of writing was just so good.
Waid did a great job carrying over from the dark Shadowland era and a very smooth continuation from the Reborn mini-series giving us a Matt Murdock looking at life from a different perspective which was presented through the art. However, Waid's writing showed us that Matt's demons were still very much alive and kicking and he had to come to terms with them.

My favourite arc was the one with Maggie. Excellently executed with some great art by Javier Rodriguez and quite moving. You can see how they used some of that in the Netflix series. The quality of Waid's writing tapered off during his second run, IMHO.

He got better and better as Soule's run went along. A shame he couldn't have done more.

Agree! Really hope it is somehow able to make a comeback. If not though, season 3 satisfied me.
