Got caught up with Nick Spencer's run during the weekend with the last two albums.

I really enjoyed MJ getting a chance to save the day by outwitting the new Electro and baring her soul for the entire world to see. It's just a a really well written scene. Feels good to know where the setup for her own series came from. And I will never complain about MJ in a Fantastic Four outfit.

I happened to hear or read somewhere that Horikoshi got a lot of his inspiration for Izuku from Spider-Man, so this would actually fit.

I don't expect this cartoon version to touch Spectacular. Her design here with the ponytail and jacket reminds me of the PS4 game. I wonder if she'll be an aspiring reporter.

Technically, PS4 Spider-Man cribbed that from the later Ultimate Spider-Man comics, where Mary Jane was contemplating a career in journalism after high school.

Remember seeing her wear a Yankees cap in one random comic at my library. Was sports a new thing? Been reading some of the old stuff in the Epic Collections and I'm not seeing much about her and sports.
