Quite a bit of good stuff in this period.
Byrne's Superman stories.
Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld.
Steve Englehart's Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps.
Sword of the Atom.
Batman: Blind Justice.
Alan Grant Detective Comics.
George Perez's Wonder Woman.
I know I'm leaving out a lot of stuff, but that's what comes to mind for me right now.
Anything by Alan Moore.
Batman: Year One.
Sandman
The Autobiography of Bruce Wayne. This is an Earth 2 story that's how Batman and Catwoman fell in love and got married. This is right up there with Year One for me as far as Batman stories go and it's long been forgotten

Hawkworld by tim truman!
I'm currently reading through Mike Grell's Green Arrow run (only have the last collection's worth to read) and I honestly have to say it's probably one of my favorite comic runs of all time at this point. A lot of people just bring up Longbow Hunters but his entire run is just fantastic.
Other ones I'd mention:
-The Question by O'Neil/Cowan
-Camelot 3000
-Batman: Year One
Last Read: Aquaman & The Flash: Voidsong
Monthly Pull List: Birds of Prey, Daredevil, Geiger, Green Arrow, Justice Ducks, Justice Society of America, Negaduck, Nightwing, Phantom Road, Shazam!, Space Ghost, Suicide Squad: Dream Team, Thundercats, Titans
Batman: Year One.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.
Batman: The Killing Joke.
Batman: A Death in the Family.

A classic era for Dc
The '80s arguably remain DC's strongest decade to date. There were simply too many good series/runs to list them all.
As SJNeal said, too many to list. Here's my Top 5
Legion of Super Heroes - Levitz/Giffen heyday (#287-306)
Justice League of America - Conway/Dillin/Perez (#175-200)
Justice League International - Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire
New Teen Titans - Wolfman/Perez (#1-50, 1-5 Baxter)
All Star Squadron - Thomas/Buckler/Ordway & others
