    Default Best X-Men Film

The X-Men movies have been coming out for almost twenty years. Now, they seem to be done (though the New Mutants film is coming out later this year), but that doesn't mean we can't look back on them and say which ones we thought were the best ones.

My picks: Logan, Days of Future Past, and X2.

Logan is great. Everything else I either haven't seen, or didn't care for.

Logan was the best followed by X2.

Only ones I absolutely disliked were First Class, Last Stand, and Dark Phoenix. The latter two for screwing up the Dark Phoenix story. First Class for effing up the whole X-verse even more by making it nonsensically in the same timeline as the first X-movies. Between characters not aging and impossible cameos (like Storm appearing in First Class set in 1963 as an approx 10-12 year old girl which means that by the time of the first X-men movie she would have been near 50 years old and DoFP over 70) the whole X-verse made no sense from First Class on. Or Emma Frost appearing in First Class but also appearing Wolverine Origins as a teen. No way she can be both due to age.

    my top 5 are

    1: X-Men 1st Class.
    2: Deadpool.
    3: Logan.
4: X-Men Days of Future Past (The Rogue Cut).
    5: X2

(No Clue why I put The Last Stand instead of X2 originally talk about a brain fart).

X2 was the only good X-men movie made.

They made a good Logan and a good Deadpool, but those succeeded because they stripped down the number of characters. Fox never figured out how to make more than one or two dudes compelling in any given movie and all team movies struggled as a result. The incoherent timelines and lack of vision further doomed them all.

What about Days of Future Past?
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

There were elements of it I liked. I think Fassbender nailed Magneto and they captured a lot of the essence of the story, but it still poorly handled most of the characters.

Days Of Future Past is a superior film to those MCU spoffy films you were defending against Scorsese.

    .
You know nothing. This is MCU triggered fans about X-Men films. If X2 is the only good X-men film, Marvel does not have up to 5 good movies.

    X-Men 1 getting a high spot.

Exactly twenty years ago, a comic film began in Auschwitz Camp. We never looked back. This is when comic films were cinema. When comic films got a sit at the table. The comic films twenty years after is one embarrassment after the other.
