2nd best comic of the day. Reis's art has really grown on me as well. I didn't care much for his style in issue 1 but he won me over this issue, specifically the scene with Gladiator looking out the window at the cityscape. Hickman is just killing it with the dialogue here, it is so different from his X-Men book but I find myself really enjoying both. Magik wins the day however, she was HBIC.

That's why I can't take people seriously when they critique Hickman by saying he can only do robotic dialogue. The man is pretty versatile with his dialogue just look at East of West. I like the Hickman gets to have fun with the New Mutants especially Sunspot who he didn't get a chance to play with too much back in Avengers.

I always figured she was asexual as well, and as a asexual myself the oversexualization of the LGBTQ is one of the reasons I never considered myself one of them and it is safe to assume I never will.

Another great issue and probably my favorite book this week. Hickman did a great job of touching on all of the New Mutants during the issue and gave them each their own unique moment to shine. Favorite moment was either Magik asking if any of the strike team was human or Karma making her opponent continually punch himself. Can't wait to see how they survive their current predicament next isssue
