There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
Congratulations, Shalla Bal!

The cover (and I really want to see what the story was) shows a group of teens doing nothing. One of them even has a newspaper under his arm! Frankly, the character creeping me out the most there is the elderly woman peering out her window. I wonder if these subtleties were picked up on back in that time.
Anyway, the peak of the week, the captain's learnings this week: Police are tough to find examples of in superhero comics. Sure, there are comics about the police, but generally the cops are people who can't handle the threat only a superhero(es) can. Still, has there ever been a good Gordon and O'Hara story in Batman '66?
And thanks to LordMikel for the vote.
Congratulations, Shalla Bal thank goodness the police made the world safe from kids with leather jackets and dungarees!
Congratulations, Shalla Bal! Also, thank you worstblogever for the nice vote.
Hi everyone, so sorry for the delay! As it is I'm stealthily typing this now and I won't get to posting a new contest for probably an hour or two from now. Stay tuned...
Thank you for the votes Darknight Detective, Tami, Ajax_X, ChadH and for the tiebreaker, Speed Force Unlimited. Thanks also for Javasaurus's honorable mention. Those details on that Tales of Justice cover crack me up, especially that old lady peering from her window. Btw I guess the leather jackets and dungarees proved to be insurmountable foes, as that issue was the last in that series.
And also thanks to kjn for graciously posting Tami's great cover and mine.
