Yes, well, what I meant was that if there is a group of mutants who want to wipe out the humans, then there will likely be a civil war and lots of mutants will die, including probably a lot of the dangerous ones.
Then you can just bring them back, but edit their memories to not include the revolution part.
I know you're being snarky, but Apocalypse did invade the Otherworld and got Excalibur to assist him under false pretenses. Then installed a puppet king who has literally engaged in the slave trade. So yeah, part of Krakoa is imperialist. Based on solicits, this is going to cause a war with the UK.
That's a good point. The people on Krakoa don't have much need for money that we've seen, since all of their needs are provided for. We haven't seen anything like an internal economy or even things like stores and restaurants, which is really weird. But if anyone wants to interact with the outside world, they'll need money. They can get jobs and commute with the portals, I suppose. But the series can't seem to decide if average people ever leave or if they just get hatecrimed immediately.
Awww invading countries known for worldwide imperialism and slavery. I’m all for decolonization, but this way also works. Go Krakoa!!!

“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
Then Xavier died and nothing changed and nobody challenged the regime so...
Except it was a point in that issue itself that they needed to bring Xavier back and bring him back quickly. You'd be a fool to think all those strong, malevolent personalities surrounded by traumatized young mutants wouldn't seize the opportunity once the "weak" Xavier was gone.
And Magneto also said that this whole Krakoa thing is Xavier's idea, his dream. That if it's too continue he had to come back. There was a lot of importance hinged on Xavier being brought back, even beyond his utility has chief of the resurrection process. He's a symbol now, and the implication is that Krakoa as it currently exists will not last without him. Few others on the island have the type of cultural cache and pull as Xavier.
They needed to bring Xavier back before the world recognized that mutants are immortal, not because of bad guys. Xavier was dead for days and chaotic villainous mutants never needed to prep in order to cause trouble. You still think that Krakoa is the same situation as years prior even though it’s been expressed in a very clear cut way that it isn’t. If the villains didn’t take the opportunity to take down Krakoa when the founder of the nation was assassinated and the country went into a lockdown, they aren’t doing it any other time.

Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Oh for goodness' sake, you expected Krakoa to flip to an Apocalypse-led hell hole in one issue? That is completely against Hickman's approach. A protracted absence, or much more likely, repeated failures/weakness from Xavier in the eyes of the nastier elements of the council would be what leads them to act out of line. If there's one thing Krakoa isn't is stable. That's part the entertainment appeal here.
I’m not expecting it to upend in one issue. You’re presenting a notion that villains are just ready to usurp control and following that line of logic (inconsistent with what’s already been shown in HOXPOX), many of them would’ve done so when Krakoa was at its weakest with Xavier’s assassination. I didn’t expect anything to happen to Krakoa’s status. Krakoa’s gone on for one month and the one watching that would’ve destabilized them didn’t. How are they not stable?
