I'm still curious about this even if the names are super cringe-worthy. I feel like it'll be decent.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
    DC: Currently figuring that out
    Marvel: Read above

Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8

The New Warriors have always suffered from a poor team name.

It isn't like the New Avengers, which referenced back to an established team and set itself up as an iteration thereof. They always could – and have – drop the New.

The New Warriors? They can't drop the New. I'm pretty sure "the Warriors" is taken several times over, even before accounting for how generic it is.

But as long as they have "New" in the name, the editorial and creative inclination will be to continually add new characters to the line-up. Because that seems like the premise now.

That is the premise now. This is the third or fourth launch of New Warriors in a row with a heavy focus on new blood. That's the brand now.

I mean, let's not pretend teenagers wouldn't give themselves cringy super names.

    Like, say, "Teen Abomination"?

    Why is "She-Hulk" criticizing names?

The problem with most young heroes in The Marvel Universe is that they aren't independent characters. Ms. Marvel is really the exception. Most of these other characters can only exist within a frame work of a team. Usually a team with one or two more popular characters that are doing the heavy lifting of bringing in eyeballs. It's kind of the problem with the Marvel universe in general really. It's more team focused then DC. That has it's benefits of course, but it's major flaw is that its difficult for new individual heroes to really pop. Just look at the Xmen and how few of them have actually worked as solo heroes.

The best name I've heard so far for their ultimate villian - The Patriarch.

Y’all can’t come up with these villain names without conveniently crafted powers that fit the name. That’s just cheating.

Mansplainer obviously has the power to explain how you’re always wrong, while The Patriarchy has an army of femme-bots.

The supervillain group No Ma'am (National Organization of Men Against Amazonian Masterhood). Bonus points if Al Bundy is still leading it.

They didn't have a book in the 80s.
