Anyway, Steel is a really cool hero. He was very popular, very commonly used for a while there... what happened?
I believe he was both but he was a gym teacher before he got chosen by the ring.

Yeah, Guy seems to have had several jobs before the Corps. Can't imagine why he didn't stay in any one place too long.

Wasn't he a cop for a bit too?

I think that's New 52, but I don't recall otherwise. He's been a teacher (I think for PE) and a physical therapist or something. Really bizarre situation before Giffen/DeMatteis went ham on the dude and then Gibbons/Tomasi evened him out.

And wasn't he also Hal's lawyer once?

I wouldn't mind C. Priest returning to Steel's adventures again, or at least having him part of a team.

Dude, what kind of post is that in an appreciation thread? And what other threads don't sidetrack into tangent characters at times?

    Booo, man, booo.

Me, for a fan of Steel and wishing to having him again in the Superman books. Superman needs a friend whom talk about supertech.

Hey so besides reading of the DC universe app is there any trade collections or omnibuses or whatever of Steel?

Have you read 52? It's not a solo, but Steel's a big part of it.

Also, where is Steel? Morrison and Pak did a pretty good job of tying him to Superman's world, but did he sink with "Superwoman"?

I'd say he's a pretty surprising omission from the Bendis era.

Last I saw of Steel he’s been playing background appearances in Dark Nights Metal, Doomsday Clock, and Justice League. Same goes for Natasha after Titans ended.

YES! We need to see more of Steel. I love that character.

And a proper movie for him to be in (even if it's supporting role) would be fantastic, too.

Did they ever collect Priest’s Steel run? I still want to read that. He and Louise Simonson are the two big Steel writers I’d say.

Weezie doesn't get enough love these days for sure.

It dawns on me that I really, really need a Steel/Metal Men team up story. Could be an arc, could be an issue, but how hasn't that happened yet?

Because the Metal Men were Didio’s pet characters like how Shazam was Johns. No one besides them could touch those characters.

Stop hurting me, Vordan. I'm a simple man who wants the Metal Men around. Hell, how come not even a cameo in Metal? I know they're Didio's pets, but they showed up in the Johns Justice League and over in Cyborg during Rebirth. It's not like it's unheard of.

Though a Steel/Metal Men series would appeal to me and me alone, I suppose.
