A team based on Marvel’s OG Champions book.
A big guy you wouldn’t peg as team leader, a femme fatale, two characters from another property, and a spooky character that seems weird on the team...:

Had a challenge on another site a couple years ago, to replace characters in fairy tales (or fairy tale type movies/stories) w. modern day movie and TV characters.
Am bored, so figured I’d post some.

Ben Tennyson (Ben Ten Alien Swarm)
    Replacing Aladdin in ALADDIN
He doesn’t have a magic lamp and three wishes, but he has an Omnitix and ten superpowered alien forms. That’d seem pretty magical to the characters in Aladdin. He has that mischievous attitude that will carry him through any adventure, and catch the eye of a certain Princess.

Seth & Sarah (Race to Witch Mountain)
Replacing Hansel & Gretel in HANSEL & GRETEL
Was torn between using the classic kids or adult Jeremy Renner/Gemma Arterton versions. Decided to split the difference and go w. actual kids. Of course these kids are aliens and have various psychic and psionic powers. They’re going to surprise the crap out of any witch that tries to eat them.

    Carl Grimes (The Walking Dead)
Replacing Jack in JACK THE GIANT SLAYER
Carl has seen the worst things possible since he was like 12. From the rise of the undead and fall of mankind, to getting shot in the chest, killing zombies just to stay alive, getting his eye shot out, having to kill his own mother...climbing a beanstalk, dodging some giants, saving a princess, stealing a goose? He’s not going to sweat these things.

    Gunner (The Expendables)
    Replacing Shrek in SHREK
Gunner was a surly misanthropic monster of a man in the first movie. I think he’d be okay w. spending his time in a swamp, all alone where he could drink and self medicate away from everyone. That is, until a bunch of fairy tale refugees start arriving. Ugly/mean/big enough to pass for an ogre, he’d mellow out by the time his quest was done.

    Billy Madison (Billy Madison)
Replacing Peter Pan in PETER PAN
Billy is a text book example of Peter Pan syndrome. He’d learn to love kids here like he did when he repeated his school years. Like most Sandler characters, Billy is stronger than he seems, good in a fight, and obscenely lucky. He'll protect his new friends from Blackbeard, Hook and anyone else he needs to.

    Cher Horowitz (Clueless)
Replacing Snow White in MIRROR, MIRROR
While Cher wouldn’t last long in darker versions of this story, she’d like, totally rule in this more light hearted adaptation. Her bubbly, see the best in ppl personality would charm (no pun intended) everyone from the Dwarves on up. Her keen fashion sense would adapt to the old timey apparel making her the belle of any ball.

    Selene (Underworld)
Replacing Snow White in SNOW WHITE & THE HUNTSMAN
Selene would have no problem keeping up in this dark fantasy, and she wouldn’t be intimidated by the evil Queen. I’d love to see the two of them inevitably go one on one. Selene also reminds me of the line in Neil Gaiman’s Snow, Glass, Apples: “I think of her hair as black as coal, her lips, redder than blood, her skin, snow-white.”

A build from a couple of years ago at another site.
The thread starter asked for a villain team that included all his Bs. A Badass leader, a Backstabber, a Brain, a Bruiser, and at least one Babe.
I renamed the categories and went with...:

The challenge was, use movie titles/posters to describe Marvel and DC characters.
Went w. Marvel characters from the MCU; since almost all of them had movies already, I had to be extra creative...:

    CAPTAIN AMERICA

    IRON MAN

    THOR
