Come to think of it, I think the Gotham TV show was the last time we had a version of Ivy without green skin.

The rebooted DC Super Hero Girls has Pamela in skin tone. She can transform into her "green skin" mode voluntarily. And even then it's an incredibly light, barely visible tinge of green.

Much prefer it to the straight-up green of post-Heroes in Crisis.

I forgot she also wasn't green in the original. Maybe because she wasn't a villain in that.

I do feel like if Ivy absolutely MUST be green, the best way is to just give her a green tint rather than full on green. Even in BTAS revamp TNBA, Ivy was more chalk white and pale than green (though they definitely made her green in Justice league)

Movie Ivy had those green markings on her skin that seemed to be a manifestation of her powers.

Yeah, I've heard the dynamic with Ivy and Catwoman is going to be pretty different this go-around.

I think this is the first time we've gotten a Sirens-type situation in animation since...Gotham Girls?

In a way. In the Hush animated film, Catwoman battled Ivy and Harley at different points, and all three of them are technically on the same Villains team in the current DC Super Hero Girls but there hasn't been a Sirens exclusive episode yet.

On the video game front, there was this:

Also in the OG DC Super Hero Girls episode "Fresh Ares" she got Ivy and Harley to unknowingly help her steal something. "Gotham girls gotta stick together."

Sweet, I love this pic. My three favorite female sometimes Batman villains seated together just chillin'.

Especially since No. 1 was just Paul Dini being super excessive and doing a number on her characterization at that point in the mid-00's. She just had an arc in Gotham Knights where she heroically sacrificed her life to save her Robinson Park orphans. And then Dini abruptly had her in a weird story named Stalked, with a lot of plant-based exploitative fetish at Ivy's expense that look like something out of the most perverse smut tape. She's also reduced to a one-dimensional caricature, insinuating her environmentalism was a ruse and she was just into killing people. And he never bothered to explain how she came back from the dead in the first place.
