"Danielle... I intend to do something rash and violent." - Betsy Braddock
Krakoa, Arakko, and Otherworld forever!
Well, that's the thing, can they sustain things the way the abstracts like Mistress Death, Eternity, and Galactus do? They ultimately are able to find ways to keep things going, while mortal beings like mutants and superheroes sort of get in the way.
I'm sure the X-Men would say that they have a better way, but we know what a world without Death looks like and it isn't good.
You are confusing natural with harmless. A cancer is a natural process from the body, just a cell that grows without control, mortal but their is nothing artificial in it. There is even hundreds of known mutations present since birth that allow the cancer to appear. The natura outcome from someone with that genes is develop cancer and die but not the desirable outcome.
All life in the MU is part of Eternity, the earth himself is part of the antibodies of the Celestials. But if a Race of Earth begins to grow without control, not dying and only growing in the cosmic scale is like a cancer to the universe .
Would be ironic if the Phoenix ended up torching Krakoa because it considers a bunch of immortals experimenting with chimeras as evolutionary stagnant.
Weird that Death would be so sickened by it, since it's not like the X-Men invented Resurrections. Breakworld had resurrecting technology and it was actually a galactic empire, but Miss Death didn't seem bothered. Unless the mutants become the prominent species in the universe, I don't see how she would even perceive that as troubling, considering it probably happens in other places too.
I mean, it was a nice reference but quite dumb in execution imo. Death only needed a peep talk to get through it so it probably isn't a real problem. Also "do we need death?" Mmm yeah duh.
I think that the Green Door is more troublesome to the universe that The Five btw.
How is that even a question? Yes, they are messing with the forces of the universe. Even if they are the next step in evolution for man, they are mortals, not gods. They don’t get a pass. To mess with one of the fundamental laws of the universe is nothing short of sheer arrogance.
What part of the Resurrection process do you consider to be messing with the forces of the universe is it using a machine to copy a person's mind or is it using mutant powers to grow the body or telepathy to copy the mind into the body and if it is mutants using their natural powers to do something does that mean you consider mutants using their powers to be shear arrogance.
Lady Death is such a stupid character. I hope they don’t derail the books with this nonsense. I could maybe see Celestials having a problem with the resurrection protocols considering they created mutants.
No need to worry about possible implications to the X-titles for this Valkyrie story (that is now over).
Aaron and Ewing and friends with Hickman so they simply used the resurrection protocols as an Easter egg similar to the "green door" from Ewing's Immortal Hulk.
I strongly doubt there will be anything more to it.
