I always liked the fact that Hickman made Nathaniel Richards into a much more interesting character and heightened his standing in the MU. Certainly it helped erase the terrible Tom DeFalco version.

Adult Franklin was a beast. Finally a stupidly overpowered character that I actually really loved.

I really liked the Avengers stuff. My only knock against Hickman is that he went and created another Hyperion, instead of using Blue Marvel -- or even an alternate Earth version of Blue Marvel. It's his prerogative, of course, but it would have been nice for Hickman to spotlight a different approach to the Superman archetype. (Not that I think that Adam Brashear shares many common elements of the Superman mythos.)
I didn't read the FF, I got bored with Avengers, New Avengers was more interesting but it went on too long.
