It was Kate saving Iceman the OMEGA level mutant while he was in his ice form. Surprised she didn't save Storm too. She could've been taking a nap.

Kinda surprised at all the Kitty hate here considering we're 6 issues in now...anyways preview continues to be good and Duggan continues to show off the versatility of Kate's abilities. I do like how she got to emotional during the fight lost focus and allowed her teammate to get injured.

In the marvel universe, the brain is simply a vessel for psychic energy. It’s this non corporeal entity that animates the “ice.” It works this way for all characters with transmutation ability (see: Sandman).

Bobby's ice form is basically the ice version of the T-1000 from Terminator 2. Smash him all you like, stab him all you like, it won't do anything, he can just put himself back together. I'm not one of those stans who thinks their favorites should never lose (defeat is good for drama), but I do think those losses should make sense within the established rules.
