Third issue featured no Kate, it was a Sebastian & Shinobi-focused issue.

Fourth issue has Storm defeat Paragon and rescue the Krakoan children. Then, Bishop and Kate both uncover the mystery of the missing human.

Fifth issue begins with Iceman refreezing the Arctic. Then after the Hellfire meeting, it’s mostly a Storm and Bishop issue and even ends with them taking down soldiers while depowered.

So please tell me how Kate is doing everything in this book.
If it doesn't fit their narrative it doesn't exist. Remember that.

Kate and Emma are the focal characters of this book an Their roles as Red Queen and White Queen it makes sense. But the spotlight hasn't ONLY been on Kate. We know that Bishop will have a sub plot as Kate's right hand, we know that Storm joined the Marauders in order to protect Kate from Emma which seems like it leads to a confrontation down the line, Iceman and Christian Frost have been hinted at having something bubbling under the surface. And Pyro is...well Pyro.

Well then rename the book "the adventures of Kate &Emma or Queens or something". Don't try to sell it as a team book when the focus is on two characters at the expense of the others. The blatant disrespect that Storm gets in this book playing second fiddle to Kate and Emma is disgraceful. And making Bishop Kate's lackey is just as bad, the guy is one of the 4 Captains and now her personal bishop. Should Cyclops have been Emma's Bishop? This book fails hard with mary sue Kate doing everything.

    He's not wrong.

Yes, other characters appear and are doing things.

It's really only Kitty who has a plot going on though. At least right now, could change later on.

you guys miss the subplot where Bishop only accepted the Red Bishop position so he could keep tabs on the HFC for the quiet council? he's not a lackey at all....
storm hasn't had an integral plot line yet (and im itching for it) but her portrayal could hardly be called disrespectful . Pretty much every panel she's been in she's shown holding her own in the field and behind the scenes
we aren't even six issues in yet lol patience grasshopper

Kate haters are trying so hard to make this Gold 2.0 but the evidence simply doesn’t coincide with that way of thinking.

That’s not true. Shaw is plotting moves against the White and Red monarchies. Bishop just had his subplot wrapped up looking for the missing human, and HES now joined the Hellfire Corporation to keep an eye on what they’re doing. Storm is there to protect Kate but also keep tabs on Emma and we’ll likely see that climax in Marauders #8.

Beast also said that Bishop could protect Kitty too. Everything is about Kitty.

other day I saw 2 guys on twitter mocking Duggan over his "gifts" for Bishop and Sotrm fans. Like 2 pages for that Storm issue.

It's not only here that people see these chaarcters have small roles and importance

There's no need to rename it because it is a team book. Just not in the way that you want it to be and that's perfectly fine but there's no need to invalidate the fact that it is in fact a team book.

I meant of the protagonists, Shaw is an antagonist in this book.

Yes, Bishop got a side plot, but who came in at the end and wrapped it up for him?

We'll see how the Storm/Emma thing goes next month. Would not surprise me if it will be mainly about Kitty as well.

too much is happening for me to worry about Kate's exposure. she's clearly the lead of the book. so what? at least we get to see Shinobi Shaw, Pyro, Christian Frost, Bishop, etc. at the end of the day, it's about characters that i like not being in limbo.

Let them hate all they want...as long as they keep buying the book (got to keep those numbers up).

The goalpost keeps moving. The problem seems to be that Kate is doing everything and performing everyone’s job like in Gold. She’s a main character and major focal point of the book in Marauders, but that shouldn’t be a surprise. Other cast members are being given attention and plots and Kate showing up also shouldn’t really be a surprise.

And we know the SHTF moment is coming when Shinobi learns his father lied to him, multiple times. I'm living for the anticipation.
