Yeah, it was great. I love her being in charge of the most dangerous and unstable team.

Yeah, she seems to know how to handle these characters but more than that she seemed like a good field leader I guess.

The atrocious thing of the UXM design is that it was designed by someone who traces porn and other stuff but I guess people love regression of character designs.

Greg Land aside it's still got a better color palette. The pink-purple of the accents contrast nicely with the indigo-purple of the main body. And the pink-purple matches her power signature so it looks better when she's using a psychic knife. It's eye catching and visually appealing.

I don't see how a grey sash is any way progression

Grey sash is an X-Force costume sash for x-characters.

Again they don't really contrast with each other to a certain extent. Pink and Purple colors resonate with each other in a lot of ways. The psychic knife has purple sparks too, therefore, it makes the looks kinda ineffectual with respect to what Opena did. It pretty much shows that Land may have just traced his design and added a few tweaks.

I said "towards a certain extent" and in quite a numbers of panels they have visually resonated each other and it's not bright "pink" IMO

Well bright pink or bright purple, it’s stands out against the darker purple.
