Good artists make the fighting look efficient so you either don't care or they're practical enough to go along with it. The best artists go all out, like in Immortal Iron Fist. Fight scenes in comics live or die by their artists.



They can do better than goofy model posing for Psylocke.

Most interiors that have shown fighting techniques of characters prowess doesn't mean they are realistic. In this case, it lacks context about what he is trying to do there. Either way I was mostly talking about comic covers and concept art therefore posing Psylocke doesn't need to be "realistic"

I didn't criticize what you said about functionality but I don't think any of the comic covers and most interiors care about realistic or functionality of characters fight techniques therefore what you trying to criticize about the comic is somewhat moot with respect to comics.

I don't think it matters to any comic book artist when they draw covers and I didn't know whether you were just having fun with the art because others didn't as far as I can say.
And I was confused when said functional. I thought it might be the proportions of anatomy but I guess I was wrong and I apologize for any inconvenience.

When you practice martial arts and swordsmanship the poses that Psylocked does in the cover are hilarious since those are beginner mistakes. It gives the cover a whole new type of context. It's like the first appearance of Iron Man were you see Stan Lee deus ex machina the concept of transistors that it is incredibly laughable if you know how they work. It's like saying my 2000 Nokia phone has the ability to play 3DS games and have the ability to connect to my flat-screen TV via voice recognition. Psylocke fans have even contributed some of the most absurd movements in this thread. Our best moment and an incredible highlight.

I said she looks sexy but the poses aren't functional for a specific cover that I own and purchased to accompany my growing Psylocke collection. You are reading far too much into it and it's very obvious you can't take any negativity associated with the character or from anyone else for a very small thing. Apparently I can't laugh at some of the ridiculous moments of Psylocke's History or the I swear this is a fight scene and not porn drawings of Greg Land.

Nah it seems pointless to describe as "painful" for almost any comic(or covers) that seems to negate fighting poses. I like Jim Lee but I have learned to accept that his proportions are overtly cinematic with the 90s design being overexposing her butt even though they look somewhat close to aesthetic and all

But I have seen some users in threads who don't even care if artists like Greg Land trace pornography. Either way I was only having chit chat at the end because I am bored due to quarantine.

I wasn't expecting it either but according to the poster, I think Asian Psylocke is bad cause I said something they don't like regarding a single cover. :P Even when I explained why I found it funny and painful at the same time because of a very specific pose with the sword and the weird pommel grip I have seen no other artist do. *shrugs* Even when you try to explain to someone you are automatically the bad guy because of mah feelings. The poster went from me not liking the cover to I must hate Psylocke and every single comic they are in. They sound like those weird imaginary SJW that conservatives make fun of.
