Favorite character moments thus far in HoX/PoX/DoX

In hopes of building new discussions based on what people are enjoying, I'd love to hear some of your favorite character moments we've seen on the pages of House of X, Powers of X, and Dawn of X so far.

Here are a few, of MANY, that I have enjoyed.



This to me is one of the greatest uses of Ororo's powers. It's subtle and powerful so kudos to Hickman. Those precious babies don't know that they could possibly blow up the island so our Goddess is standing by to balance them out. Brilliant.



This entire scene made me love Emma again. I've been very "eh" about her after the Gen X days but this sparked a new love for her. Her concern was palpable but her desire to help create something new "for the children" won the day. The three of them sounded like perfection to me.



It would be impossible to describe the joy I felt when seeing this panel. I love Angelo but I have waited a long time to see Everett's return. Seeing him and Skin so happy to see each other was... I have no words.

Betsy is my favorite mutant so I "awwwwwwww'd" a whole bunch of times when she interacted with Baby Dragon Shogo. The tenderness in the way she spoke to him just solidified my love for her. Jubilee and Betsy go way back so it's beautiful to see her love for Jubilee's child.





Doug's enthusiasm completely mirrored mine when he was tasked with connecting with and building out Krakoa. That smile was uncontrollable for him. Charles knew Doug would react this way and I. Ate. It. Up.

I love big, flashy action scenes as much as the next reader and I can never get enough of the big drama dynamics, but these subtleties give me such joy. These are the bits that don't often get described in reviews and summaries, they really can only be enjoyed when reading.

Edit: I want to say that the Penance part other than being very badass also meant some growth on Monet's side, even if it's yet to be explored, since she seemed to have embraced the Penance part of her personal history, that she showed to have feared before up to X-Factor.

OMG yes, that Destiny scene was very eye-opening. I think I may have whispered "holy s**t".

Aww Kurt and Logan. What a gorgeous moment and I felt for Scott who was watching them.

2) HOX#2 - The Full issue,
"The Uncanny Life of Moira X" (my favorite single-issue from last year).
-- That Destiny scene, never thought she was so cool/badass/scary.

3) HOX#5 - The Five
"We see them, but do we know them"

4) POX#6 -
Magneto: "I am not ashamed of who I am. Let them come".
Xavier: "Yes, let them come."

5) POX#5 - "When you see me again, you'll know what It means"
- Namor.

6) Cyclops and the FF in HOX#1.
Especially when he says Mazel Tov to Ben.

7) POX#5 - "I. Love. That. Cape."

8) HOX#6 - Apocalypse's attitude about why mutants killing each other isn't a big deal.


DOX
1) X-Men #1
- Magneto the Folk Hero.
- That Infographic of the Summers' Place showing the connected doors.


2) Marauders
- (#1) Wolverine is a dapper dude man.
- (#2) "I am the red queen, b--tch."
- (#5) Emma and Kitty at the Hellfire Club gathering.

3) X-Force
- Logan and Quentin Quire being a weridly compelling buddy cop duo.

4) Excalibur
- Every single scene with - |A|- especially the last one where Apocalypse sacrifices himself.

5) X-Men #4
-- The entire issue at Davos
-- The climax where Xavier removes his helmet and gives us the classic Patrick Stewart Xavier in our platonic hearts for the first time in a long while.

All of the recaps by 'Berto at the beginning of New Mutants issues. He's so over-the-top full of himself, it's hilarious.

I greatly appreciated Logan "schooling" Quentin. Two seconds later the kid loses his powers and totally changes his tune. I like that dichotomy.

omg yes yes yes!! that ororo mement of her being able to sense their energy levels but also control it, while also wanting to ensure the children safety was a really nice moment.

for me though it was sad, when the xmen went out fighting on that space station only to all die was a really powerful moment. one of the best and most memorable moments for me.
