Marvel did a press release announcing a prelude to the Sins Rising arc of Amazing Spider-Man.

It's curious that that this is a one-shot, rather than an issue of Amazing Spider-Man.

I guess they have the issues leading to Amazing Spider-Man #50 (or maybe #850) very locked in.

Sin-Eater is visually bland, has a whatever backstory, has been diminished by all the successors, is not an interesting concept, and was only scary in one good story, so Spencer is lucky that I love Jacinto and secret histories. Also, that cover's hot.

Probably not. More a reference to the fact that this character is called Sin-Eater.

I thought of that too but it could just as easily be a play on Sin-Eater. Or maybe both.

Although I was reminded of Gabriel Stacy with all of this for a potential identity for Kindred especially with Osborn calling him an heir to his legacy and also his claim of Peter’s sin. However Gabriel never died did he?

I'm not going to lie, I thought this would have to do with Sins Past... In that the infamous scene gets added details (It was actually a threesome with Norman, Gwen, and Mary Jane for EXTRA shock). I'm glad that I'm wrong.
