Dani Moonstar, Mirage Appreciation 2020

Yeah, the scene in X-Factor was more about Emma than Dani. I get why she felt inclined to have the pair of them present, but Moonstar was only there to help navigate Emma through her guilt, not reflect or speak on her time with the Academy X kids.

I read that scene more as Dani
a. Commiserating with a fellow teacher/mentor
b. Showing off her emotional intelligence, and most of all
c. Showing how much more highly evolved Dani is by offering empathy to a **** that cast her out after traumatically losing her powers

In short, Dani is the best

I was reading Dani's bio on uncannyxmen.net (an unofficial site), and they said Dani's powers started to emerge when she was around ten. Is that just supposition, or is there a reference I've missed/forgotten about?

Seems a little too early [although I suppose her origin might have gotten ret-conned slightly down the road]. All of the reference material mentions puberty. Here's her listing from the original Marvel Universe [N - P]:

Supposition... Danielle Moonstar's X-Gene was already activate during her first appearance as seen in Marvel Graphic Novel #4.

That cosume is beautiful and should be her default. They can remove the headgear and cape when no in Valkyrie mode but the bodysuit and armor would work great as a standard costume. Nice use of the NM colors and would modernize her in a much needed way

I think it's Peach Momoko. It looks like her style and she's been doing a lot of cover variant for marvel lately
