Default Marvel just killed one of the dc universes! (note thor spoilers)

    Maybe it was the crossoververse?

This is the second time marvel or dc has hinted at a crossover.

Some fans think marvel and dc are hinting at a crossover. Or it could just be a fun jab at each other.

The Thor comic has been making a lot of DC references lately. A few months ago it showed all the people who have lifted mjolnir and two of the characters shown looked a lot like Superman (lifted it in JLA/Avengers) and Wonder Woman (lifted it in DC vs Marvel).

Well, it's only fitting as the DC Universe is basically a superhero ragnarok that continuously repeats a cycle of re-starting and being destroyed.

I'm surprised they only listed six gods there (Sun = Superman, Emerald Light = Green Lantern, Dark = Batman, Ocean = Aquaman, Speed = Flash, Strength = Wonder Woman). Could've easily had a seventh - Technology, perhaps, representing Cyborg? Or the Skies, for Hawkgirl?

Probably a factor of creators who grew up during the Vs. and Amalgam eras winking at the crowd. I find it unlikely as The Mouse takes its IP seriously, and doesn't play well with others.

Yeah, the big problem blocking any Marvel/DC crossovers is their ownership by Disney and Warner Bros.

Marvel and DC take jabs at each other all the time. Marvel especially. A recent issue of Iron Man directly referenced Kryptonite. So obviously DC comics exists in the Marvel universe in some form. There's no crossover on the horizon. It's just inter-company jabbing.

Lego has a Marvel license too, so that can't be the reason.

Which was the excuse in the last few years between the publication of JLAvengers and Disney buying Marvel. He's no longer the problem as he isn't in charge any more. The problem is the higher up execs. Disney and Warner have an animosity going back decades, they're long time rivals.

Marvel had crossovers before the 90's.

Quesada rules are still in effect without him.

They can have a Black Winter event at both Marvel and DC, both fighting the same bad guy and still keep it pretty separate from each other. Just showing how powerful this black winter thing is that he's in two universes at once.

    Would be pretty neat.
