Same. My excitement for each issue is growing and that's a beautiful thing. Congrats to Ev on such a great showing.

This issue was pretty good. Too bad there won't be a follow-up for a while. Armor and Laura got used better compared to their other Dawn of X appearances.

Also why does this look like Logan punched the sheep.

    Sinister animals, sheep.
Not in the same class as ducks, obviously, but never underestimate them.

This was the only thing that didn’t work about the issue. Armor giving a mission briefing with Cyclops, Storm and Logan, yeah I don’t think so. I thought Hickman was above trying to impress Whedon.

Rogue and Iceman should have been at that briefing tbh.

That was a pretty good issue. I think Silva is a much better match to Hickman then Yu.

She was pretty much promoted to full X-Men status almost at the beginning of her career, wasn't she?

I like Armor in this role, I think she and Laura should be full fledged X-Men and not X-Kids.

I feel dumb for not making that connection. They really looked alike and their origins are pretty similar.

Exactly. It's written in a light-hearted way but drawn in a confrontational way.

Yeah, I wrote that in the preview thread before it got locked. The two are aligning.

If I'm interpreting that data page correctly then Hickman is also changing the structure of the Vault into his Tomorrow Children

Sangre and Serafina's pod are dedicated to reconnaissance, and there are 600 other pods with their own jobs in Judge, builder, soldier etc

The Ultimate Children of Tomorrow had a similar structure with builders and dynamos and teachers, but with the Maker at the top.

So should we expect ultimate Reed Richards at some point?

Actually, it makes sense - she's not giving the mission briefing, she's part of the mission.
She's part of the distraction team, so having her be there while the mission briefing is going on - and making her comments on it - is only logical.

Having her be part of the distraction team also makes a ton of sense, given that she's a 50 foot tall neon sign that screams "Hey, notice me" when she wants to be.
