I like it better when they are indistinguishable. The different colored hair stunt was annoying, since I don't really see *any* of the three wanting to be someone other than who they are, or wanting to 'change her look' to look different. (*Maybe* wanting the other two to change *their* looks, and stop 'copying her', but *she* shouldn't have to change!)
The different colored hair phase, IIRC, was when one of them had a crush on Quentin, which they all loathed when he was first introduced, as a druggie supremacist who *got one of their sisters killed* in the riots he provoked. So, yeah, that writer, IMO, had no freaking clue what he was doing with them in the first place...
