Now other bad movies get bashed for STORY CONTENT.
The main folks attacking Birds of Prey-haven't seen the film and don't plan on seeing it.
That is what is irking folks-not folks who saw the film and have an opinion. They have issues with the folks who have not seen and had no plans on seeing it. They are mad because how dare a film be made that is not starring a straight white male.
They are the ones who constantly harass, bully, threaten or whatever-after everyone has moved on.
Who makes nonstop youtube videos trashing MEN films-good or bad? Yet we have seen that constantly done to FEMALES lead projects.
Jokerz79 is saying men need to move on and stop throwing fits because something doesn't star them?
NO, many movies got bashed for all the dumb reasons, lots of them are laughable. Many of these movies are actually quite good.
Not really. The main folks attacking Birds of Prey-haven't seen the film and don't plan on seeing it.
You are making a straw man here. Many of these ppl have liked female/black/other ppl starring movies. Almost all of my favorite movies are female lead or have strong important females. Again THIS is why ppl are bashing this movie, because supporters are trying to call others sexist or throw whatever they can think of to them. That is what is irking folks-not folks who saw the film and have an opinion. They have issues with the folks who have not seen and had no plans on seeing it. They are mad because how dare a film be made that is not starring a straight white male.
Not really, many of this movie's supporter did what you said. They are the ones who constantly harass, bully, threaten or whatever-after everyone has moved on.
Eh tons of them? Like Adam Sandler, like Nicolas Cage has been bashed for ages and some of those movies were not that bad?Who makes nonstop youtube videos trashing MEN films-good or bad? Yet we have seen that constantly done to FEMALES lead projects.
Most of the heavily attacked movies are male lead. Many female lead movies were well received.
Sure I did want to until some ppl trying to bring up the "men bad" issue again.

Funny enough, i didn’t want to go down that road but it’s looking increasingly like sexism.
I mean, there’s no way to describe downplaying woman’s issues beyond sexism. More-so equating said issues to non-existent issues in men (like reproductive rights or being stripped of basic human rights because of gender).
It’s becoming increasingly clear that a lot of people that had problems with Birds of Prey simply have a problem with women’s rights.

While sexism is a possible answer, it's worth remembering that BoP has different expectations attached to it, and would have regardless.
Even if it were not a comic book movie, a sequel would would be expected, whereas Ford v Ferrari is a one and done.
More than that, BoP might have the expectation of upholding/maintaining the shared canon of the DCU, something not an issue with Ford. And BoP is used as a barometer of how well Time Warner's DC projects are doing
We have been over with it already.
FvF has lower expectation yet higher box office especially domestic office. It also got a weaker competition in the ongoing week. It was also expected to have a higher multiplier effect because of the time was different. It has nothing to do with sexism. Get over it.
I can use blame from the the starring cast to say ppl hate men because Hayden has receive much more shit than Portman yet she wasn't better in the movie at all. Is it right? No.
Women's issues is caused by many problems, the last thing is to simply attack men for it. Simply demonize men is not going to solve it. Many men are helping women with those issues, do you know? Do you also know that many of them don't want to be represented as "sexist" or bland baddies like those BoP male characters?
Actually if ppl want equal rights, then the first thing they need to do is treat movies by stop calling ppl for sexists simply because they don't like this movie.
And you know what? When you speak of women's rights, I don't think it's a good idea to cast Harley Quinn instead of Barbara Gordon as the main character and push the rest of the members aside. Barbara is a much better figure as women's role model than Harley Quinn and she was the founder of BoP. Do you really think it's about women's rights and not Margot Robbie's own ambition by put the real BoP members aside?
Also I don't think someone like Ewan, who had dumped his wife and 4 daughters to go for MEW should teach me about how to respect women.

Again if the supporters are not pleased with the bashing and bringing up all those political issue, they need to stop calling others stuff like "sexists" for it.
When’s someone going to do something for men for once though?
