Pretty good, but pretty weird. Interested to see what becomes of Callisto. Hope she interacts with Ororo and it feels like Emma is giving the same speech here as she did to Kate? Well whatever :shrugs: lol. A scheming Emma is a good Emma IMO

I hate when ugly mutants become pretty when they get more page time. Look at Callisto, Marrow, and even Rogue to an extent, plus Emma got de-aged but was always stunning. Let there be old and ugly mutants in the spotlight! Just not Glob Herman. Ew.

As I understand it, Callisto started off beautiful, got scarred/lost an eye form some still unrevealed reason, and then became the leader of the Morlocks, only to later still be transformed by Masque and become a model and date Peter Nicolas(Piotr after the Siege), and then be re-scarred again.

Clothes and presentation are oddly important in diplomacy. They convey power, peace, war, unity, etc. So, yes, someone with his unique experience would be rather critical.

I'm ready to see more Bishop but I'm enjoying Duggan's voice for him.

Premise: Emma owns the Hellfire Trading Co. which handles distribution of the Krakoan drugs to humanity. Shaw is in charge of handling the black market which controls the prices to ensure no gouging of the drugs. They use boats/ships most of the time because Kitty can't use Krakoan gates (don't know why yet) and she is the main captain. Emma, Shaw, Kitty, three heads. Shaw doesn't like the current balance of power so we're getting lots of drama. Many of us are in anticipation of this issue because of last's cliffhanger. And for the nations that didn't agree to the trade treaty, the Marauders work to rescue mutants in these nations that want to come home to the mutant nation (and illegally get the drugs in for the humans). Fun times!

I’m living for this issue lol. Emma shines whenever she comes out to play. Did they change artist? Cuz the art just got more detailed and better. The last issue felt rushed. Let’s see what Emma does after what Sebastian did. I wonder what is stopping him from resurrecting the other dead members of the hellfire club.

I know. I meant how the art/how the characters are depicted changes, not their in-story physical changes. Callisto here is beautiful even with an eye patch and scars, not the more masculine and plain version from her first appearances.

That's vacillated over the years anyways. Some artists really lean into her being ugly, others make her a normal/beautiful woman with an eye-patch.

Hi. Child of the eighties here. Why does Callisto look like a young Winona Ryder instead of a French waif on a meth bender? I remember her being an anorexic looking thing.
