Default Ignored, abandoned or just downright badly written...the UN-appreciated.

Priscilla Lyons / Vagabond: Not seen since the 90s
Barney Barton / Trickshot: Brought back from the dead and made his brother's equal....just to be shuffled off to editorial limbo
John Walker / U.S. Agent: I keep getting disappointed with writers just always doing the heel turn on him like in the latest Cap.

Who do you got to add to the list??

Scott Washington (AKA "Hybrid") not seen since the 90's (Separation Anxiety saga), resurfaced in the 2010's only to be killed off.

Johnny Gallo / Ricochet: A unique example of a mutant who isn't an X-Man, and is a major Spider-Man fan. He's the only Slinger to get any real following individually but even then he's still firmly in the D-list range. He could be so much more, but the writers don't do much with him despite making a good impression.

Agreed with you both. I would throw in the Scarlet Spiders as well, given their treatment in the last few years circa The Clone Conspiracy and its aftermath, along with any 616 Spider-Woman that isn't Jessica Drew.
The spider is always on the hunt.

    Frogman.
A goofy street leveler that could be hilariously fun getting in over his head under the right team.

    Armageddon Man.
A mutant that can potentially destroy the earth. He’s in suspended animation somewhere.
Honestly surprised Hickman hasn’t co-opted this guy yet.

    Miracle Man.
Come on Marvel, use the character why don’t you.

    The Ultraverse.
Marvel really did that line of comics wrong.

Lectronn - Seldom seen but extremely powerful. Could make for a good Avenger if he got a better costume.

Wildstreak - Debuted in Fantastic Four, she was paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair but for the use of her exoskeleton suit that gave her enhanced strength and speed.

LightBright - Another mutant never seen in the X-books. Would love to see her on Krakoa.

It is a good question. Maybe they were only interested in kkep the brand. Or it was the excuse to make Gaiman to work for them.

Oh, yes they did. At this time I would be surprised if ever I could see something related to Ultraverse ever published again. Maybe the Ultraverse could have had better luck if DC had bought Malibu instead Marvel. Marvel doesn't seems very inclined to promote IPs from acquired companies.

Thank god Rich Rider begins to be important again in Annihilation Scourge, and Empyre due to Guardians of the Galaxy. Now all we need back is Nova Prime and Worldmind.

Obligatory mention, blue Marvel. Yes the dude belongs in this thread. No reason why he couldn't be written to be a very good and different kind of hero.

    The Sentry.

Any and all character development is always binned to maintain the focus on the completely overdone Sentry/Void dichotomy.

Still haven't forgiven Brock for being able to punk him like some day-one newbie (nor the then-writers/etc. for writing it in the first place). I'd love someone like David F. Walker writing a book about Hybrid/Scott Washington. I feel a writer like him would do him justice.

To the list, I also would add Patrick Mulligan/Toxin. He was also unceremoniously offed, off-screen no less, yet was impossibly cool. He and his relationship with his Symbiote was unique; the closest we got to something similar was Flash-as-Agent Venom during the later parts of Agent Venom's existence.

All the cool good-guy Symbiote heroes were so underused and misused.

I'd also add pretty much all of the new Inhuman and NuHuman characters not-name-Kamala Khan in the past handful of years. When they were used, most were used brilliantly, which led them to be quite the standouts and breakouts as new characters. Then they were abandoned. With the exception of Quake, Inferno, and Moon Girl occasionally living on in alternate media, and in Inferno's case, he's pretty much a different person in Marvel Rising (and doesn't get much focus even there, since the property is more aimed towards adolescent and teenaged girls).

Actually, Rising's latest episode, Playing With Fire, was focused on Inferno, and confirmed that his origin is the same as in the comics. Powers trigger, home burns down, he runs away. We find this out when his sister comes to find him.

    Good call.
I was hoping Marvel would keep running w. The Ultimates book, as it gave him a nice platform.
