I think the only question we should be asking is why didn't she have a chainsaw before now?

Because it doesn't fit a hero about love and compassion, considering how destructive a chainsaw is.

It's like Snyder saw the satire Morrison did on modern Wonder Woman in Darkstars and thought "Oh yeah! More of that!"
Reimagined public domain superheroes in a 1945 that never was!
Read the superhero webcomic THE POWER OF STARDUST!

Lack of imagination methinks. It just goes to show you that as soon as we get a true, kino writer like Snyder we get an idea that catapults Wonder Woman into the next century.

Yeah, it did, but I don't think it was a Chainsaw of Truth. Interestingly, that setting was set in a Post-Apocalyptic universe like Deaf Earth and maybe this?

The chainsaw is absolutely necessary if it helps get rid of Batman Who Laughs. Otherwise, its just silly.

On the one hand I want to say great for shaking things up with Wonder Woman. On the other this is the dumbest thing. I may actually be into this.
“To the future or to the past. To a time when thought is free, when men are different from one another and do not live alone - to a time when truth exists and what is done cannot be undone: from the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink - greetings!" - Winston Smith
