Uncanny X-Men 212 was a phenomenally emotional issue, cover to cover. In fact the entire Mutant Massacre crossover was an emotional and powerful moment.
My Summer rain. My rooftop in Japan. My quiet in the storm. *cries* Al Ewing is GOD...Praise His name! Uplift Him in song! Glorify His works!
This shocked me pretty much.
And no previews, no sneak peeks, a month to wait for the next issue!
No online boards to discuss it with either.
I’d go to Odyssey 7 in Manchester of a Saturday and spend hours hanging around, drinking tea and talking to the staff and other customers. It was the only way to keep in touch with other fans. That and the X-Men APA.
The problem with losing Kurt, for both Ororo and Logan, is that he’s the one they turn to, that they lean on for advice and support when things go wrong.
A lot of **** is hitting Ororo in these issues and when she needs him, he’s not there.
