    Uncanny X-Men 212 was a phenomenally emotional issue, cover to cover. In fact the entire Mutant Massacre crossover was an emotional and powerful moment.

    No online boards to discuss it with either.
    I’d go to Odyssey 7 in Manchester of a Saturday and spend hours hanging around, drinking tea and talking to the staff and other customers. It was the only way to keep in touch with other fans. That and the X-Men APA.

    It was indeed a much simpler, and happier (certainly less contentious) time.

    The problem with losing Kurt, for both Ororo and Logan, is that he’s the one they turn to, that they lean on for advice and support when things go wrong.
    A lot of **** is hitting Ororo in these issues and when she needs him, he’s not there.
