I remember reading this as a kid. I got so upset. I thought for sure Colossus was dead:
When Kurt died, it didn't hit me that hard. I guess it was due to its execution. But the speech Logan gave at his funeral gave me all the feels. Thug tears.

Oh yes, that blood, dripping like tears. Very well done, very touching.
Also, just ‘Elf.’
Cyclops killing his 'father.'

Speaking of Colossus and sacrifices...

Lord Ewing *Praise His name! Uplift Him in song!* Your divine works will be remembered and glorified in worship for all eternity. Amen!
Man, all mine have already been posted...
- Logan having to mercy kill Mariko
- Logan coming back from the brink of death (after having his adamantium extracted in Fatal Attractions) to save Jean; also the aftermath of that with him leaving the X-men because without his healing factor and with only bone claws he felt he was a liability to the team
- Colossus dying of the Legacy Virus cure in order to save mutantkind
- Nightcrawler dying in Second Coming
- Cable dying in Second Coming
All moments that really resonated with me. Granted, Wolverine and Cable are my favorite characters, so I’m naturally quite heavily invested in their moments and how the above directly or indirectly impacted them.
When Forge told Storm to call for her powers, they are hers and she runs to him. It was one of the first times i saw her character that vunerable.
Also in Xmen Visionaries when Storm and Jean have the fight and it ends with them holding hands and walking in to the subway. It came off very big sis/little sis to me.
Don't let anyone else hold the candle that lights the way to your future because only you can sustain the flame.

This was a heartbreaking moment for Kurt when you realize he was killed during this assault:
It’s not a big moment, but that scene in CABLE, when Rictor is getting on a plane to leave and Shatterstar’s heart visibly breaks? Moved my little gay heart more than expected...
