Kurt’s good with most characters, Kitty, Rachel, Peter, Ororo, Jean, Betsy, Scott, Logan, he brings focus to friendship, team interaction and what it means to be a superhero, beyond hitting things/people.

Absolutely agree. Just I specifically love Kurt/Kitty relationship because they make an awesome team organically built along the way, and because it's a perfect male/female friendship without a romantic nuance at all (I know there's shippers out there, but...).
