I hate the Twelve but the way that Cyclops throws himself between Apocalypse and Nate Grey as he is about to possess him and what he thinks to Jean beforehand was pretty emotional. Also, the issue where Moira dies and you see the flashbacks of a young professor x being dumped and then being shipped to vietnam was great. Idk if that is still canon under hickman.

I don't know if others have posted these before but there were several scenes in New X-men that evoked emotions in me. When Jean was absorbing Xavier's mind and she said "Die Charles. I'm going to catch you." That was such a great scene. It was simple but so powerful.

Wolverine killing Jean and walking into the sun was a highly emotional moment. I love that scene so much. Wolverine and Nightcrawler recently dying in the Sun was just "eh" to me because we've been there and done that with Logan and Jean.

Wolverine telling Jean that it had been 150 years since we last saw your face in Here Comes Tomorrow. It was subtle but I felt so much for Jean in that moment realizing almost every she loved was long gone.

The final moments with Jean when Quire tells her she has to water it with her hearts blood (it being the badly wounded orphan universe). It was such a beautiful moment as Jean says goodbye to Scott from the great beyond.

Other moments in the run: Jean's death scene with Scott yelling for Xorn (even though at that point they knew he was Magneto but Scott was so scared and desperate). Xavier when Xorneto reveals himself. Emma Frost's talk with Logan after the fight with Jean. I felt so bad for her because she was being vulnerable. There were many great emotional moments in New X-men.

UXM 306 and yes that was sad especially since Warren frankly never treated Candy the best. She seemed to truly love him.

Oh yes, their reunion during Inferno was poignant and emotional. I loved how Hickman also referenced this latter scene during House of X recently, and actually I think his run has a lot in common with the latter part of the "everything and the kitchen sink, changing focus every issue" Claremont/Silvestri run, of which he's admittedly a fan.

A scan from God Loves, Man Kills of two Black children being killed with their bodies left in a playground was posted a page or two back. I agree that it was really timely then and especially now.

That was Classic X-Men 41-42. I love this moment which is the first introduction of Scott and Jean together and establishes them as destined to meet and fall in love. Back when Scott wasn't a prick anyway.
