NGL this thread is turning out to be more entertaining than the issue itself.
Speaking of which what is Doom doing in the middle of the ocean and how will the whole doom/x-men confrontation play out.

About the issue, is another team vs team logic.
I suppose that Charles is actually is a smart man, how the hell he brings a drunk Magneto into this.
If you know that Kate is your Troyan horse, let her speak in company of mutants that know the family like Bobby or Storm. Unless Charles actually want a fight, for whatever reason.

One of the things that has been a little off kilter for me...Charles is extremely arrogant and somewhat short sighted, but this entire Krakoa business has shown him to be very narrow minded as well. It is very un-Charles like, which doesn't seem like something Hickman would have plotted, but perhaps he has scripted this personality for Charles for his own plotline. It's all just a little too perfect.
My initial thought was that he instigated the confrontation with the FF because he expected it to play out the way it did with the FF acting as overbrearing parents and with franklin wanting to come to krakoa but the panel near the end suggests that xavier had not preplanned the fight.

I think Charles legitimately wanted a conversation with the FF. And had no intentions of instigating anything, but thought HE could actually convince them that Franklin is better off with him.
The Problem was is that he made a poor choice in having Magneto coming along with him. That would set anyone on edge.....Magneto OR Dr.Doom showing up at your door telling you that you need to give up something.
Well, I kind of disagree. His position as king does place his identity as an Atlantean as priority, but I don’t think that exempts him from also realizing his mutant identity. I think his role during Utopia and X-Men Red solidifies that.
Wait what?
I hoped they would at least somewhat acknowledged Rachel's relationship with Franklin, even if she has no real relationship with the current, she may have some insight on what his powers were like in the future.

Same.
I like the premise but not the execution, the whole conflict feels forced. You can still have the problem with a (more plot accurate) friendly delegation, make Franklin discover Reed experiment and there you go.
Magneto Vs Susan is just pointless distraction, unless the writers want you to feel that something is wrong with Xavier but this is like "Evil Beast", it can go to nowhere.
