That design should not work whatsoever, but it's so ridiculous that it comes back around to being interesting.
He looks like a One Piece character, like Oda drew Hush himself
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
It's like a pimped out version of Hush with the letter "D" on the mask. Pretty lazy.
not gonna lie....I kinda love this absurd ass design
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
Let me understand: he wears a black shirt with a grey tie (at least to me it seems grey), a jacket which resemble the ones worn by Ip Man, camo pants, two boots like the ones worn by Jack Sparrow, a mantle i think I already saw in a anime, he carry a medieval sword, his face is hidden by a mask similar to the Rorschach one (but with a D in gothic style instead of the stains) and is he called The Designer?
GENIUS!
Ah I forgot: he wear also more necklace than Mr. T.

«It's like kids trying to write stories for adults or something.»
There is an huge difference among write a good story and try to write a great one.
«Heroism is not about being perfect or always winning, but breathing hope into the hopeless.»
Batman's world isn't realistic. It's grounded in psychological realism… In real life, Batman's crusade would be a horrible idea.[…] But in the world Batman inhabits, it not only makes sense, it's absolutely the right thing to do.
We Italians would say (more or less): «Are you dress like this because you lost a bet, or because you didn't turn on the light?»

Is he going hunting? Just wondering about the camo pants.
Pulls: Batman, Detective Comics, SiKtC, Catwoman, Nightwing, Titans, Godzilla, Wonder Woman, Batman & Robin, Brave and the Bold, No/One, Kill your Darlings, and Deviant.
My runs: Batman #230-, and Detective #420-
As mentioned before, he looks a bit like Hush (his head).
Eeh, thus far not impressed. Let's wait and see I guess.
So he failed as a designer and turned to a life of crime instead, keeping the name?
Every day is a gift, not a given right.
I'd meant to find a topic about or adjacent to this and bring this up.
I mean Designer's design is something. Fashion, anti-fashion, ultra-fashion, something. That's all fine - in particular I'm cool with it because if you look at the gaggle of classic rogues he's associated with, it's the Batman '66: The Movie crew - The United Underworld! Depicted comic-bookly, but part of me will not be able to unsee Gorshin, Romero, Meredith & Meriwether in this case.
Anywho, that wasn't what I wanted to be happy about and remark about - it's that Jorge Jimenez will be joining this run. Is he the primary artist for the bulk of the run?
Retro315 no more. Anonymity is so 2005.
