Why she doesn't use it much has already been explained (when Bendis was still writing her) - she's bad at landings. The result of which is either landing in the wrong place (for example, on a car instead of the ground, or worse, in the water instead of on dry land), causing property damage (her super strength is a liability sometimes as the road gets damaged), or causing an injury to either herself or others. Too risky.

I agree with Digifiend (no new powers needed) and Grapeweasel (power to curse freely).

But if they had to give her powers, I might give her abilities which compliment her job as a detective. Maybe low level enhanced senses so she can see in the dark better or hear better. Something passive which aids in her job. Nothing Daredevil level though.
Yeah, I'd either want some low-level enhanced visual powers (not hearing or scent, those tread more on Daredevil and Wolverine's wheelhouses, I'd prefer something more unique for her), or, preferably, nothing at all.

I'm of two minds, as usual. Either powers that help with the detective work, or powers that are utterly rubbish for detective work (like her current powers), 'cause that's just her luck.

what is her strength level: how many tons?
how fast can she fly, and how high?
what is her durability? what can cut her/penetrate her skin?

Last I read in one of the marvel handbooks she could lift two tons. And she can definitely jump/fly several stories.

And Jess was taken out by a bullet to the head in the first arc of her series by Kelly Thompson (she got better though).

Yeah. Flight is important for her just for hilarious crash landings.

I think she could go powerless and be a good character.
Maybe give her some latent psychic abilities that could subconsciously benefit her as a detective.

    Empathy.
    Premonitions from dreams.
    Danger sense.
Mental imaging of clues by touching evidence.

    Things like that.

They tried to give Spider-Woman empathy a few years ago and it didn't stick.

What if she's a wielder of a godly weapon?
