I like Fantomex and the parallels between The Vault and The World can be very interesting. I'm in

Right? Fantomex is kind of a high-concept character, so I'm excited to see him in the hands of a high-concept writer, who can utilize all aspects of the character and his background.

Maybe I'm a mutant myself, but I don't see the need to badmouth him, or any other characters a reader may not like. So he's not your favorite! Every character has its fans, and it's not hard to be happy for those fans, y'know?

Regardless, as a fan of Morrison's NXM run, count me as someone who would really love to see Fantomex, Eva, and The World brought back to prominence and relevance.

I love Fantomex but then I've always been a big fan of both Fantomas and Diabolik (the latter being a more overt inspiration).

Is the film any good? I still have nightmares about how bad the Modesty Blaise film was. And the Jerry Cornelius film too!

I guess I'm in the "I don't understand why people hate him" crowd, I see the criticisms such as being similar to Gambit however if we're being honest there's enough between them to differentiate. And yet they are SEVERAL X-characters who are literal swaps of another character from everything to their designs right down to their powerset.


I feel like for the right writer there's a lot to explore with Fantomex or at least just as much as there is for any of the other X-men.

I'm down for this because it's Hickman playing with more of Morrison's toys.

I like Fantomex well enough. I've only read him in Morrison's run so I don't know what has been done after that, but he was entertaining there because he wasn't meant to be taken seriously. He's an action figure designed by the Weapon Plus program who is a bit pretentious and his accent is fake lol.

Honestly, I've come around to liking him a bit more than Gambit, who I have never been overly fond of

He's not my favorite character, but I've loved him since Remender's run. He's just fun and I have been wondering where he's been hidden for a while.

He's either going to be a strong addition to Xavier's army or a bad enemy.

I liked him well-enough in Morrison's run, as is but yes...I wonder if he'll be given the "Five Upgrade" treatment from Hix-Man. That could be all kinds of PLUSH!
