After years of back and forth and madness and sadness, he had become a member in good standing of the X-Men, and then while he's away dancing in Limbo, mutantkind gets everything they could have ever hoped for... and Cain can't be a part of that,” Nicieza told IGN over an email interview. “How he reacts to that rejection becomes the exploration of who he is going to become without the one thing that -- for good and bad -- has defined him for most of his life.”

Not sure if I like the idea that he's not accepted on Krakoa...Juggs is one of my favorite members of the X-Men

and I wonder how Sammy the Fish Boy is gonna react to Cain having a new kid sidekick....but then again...if they have resurrected Sammy, he would already be living on the same island with his murderer

Yeah after reading about his sidekick, Sammy immediately came to my mind too. I mean he's not a mutie so not being on Krakoa actually makes perfect sense really. But yeah he should be allowed to interact? Or something for crying out loud

This would be the first time a DoX book has actually connected to the prior run and made an effort to bridge the continuity chasm. So kudos. (What happened to that fully demonic Darkchylde?)

Nah we don't need minis for characters that can easily be in main team books. Like Storm as someone else said as well. Just put Monet into a good team book. The whole idea of this as a Juggy solo is that he ISN'T really a part of Krakoa/mutant society. But he has tangential ties.

I love the connection as well. I think the only other brief connection of the prior run was Shinobi's corpse with his hand in his face.

Enh. Not feeling his "motivation" for wanting to live on Krakoa.
Charles could vouch for him, I guess, but is he willing to live and play by Krakoa's laws? I would think even with the power he's regained being so 'restricted' is certain to rub raw eventually.

Context: The movie!Stryker Knockoff of the Year (General Callahan) implanted a gene bomb in Magik when she was under O.N.E. custody (long story). He set it off and killed her “mutant” side or at least that’s how it came off to the audience. The Darkchylde popped out, Juggernaut went to go fight her, and she wiped the floor with him and threw him in Limbo.
