I'm leaning towards this being really Charles and him just expecting Krakoa to be a zoo. We'll find out that he is the real leader of several prohuman groups and he's been herding mutants to Krakoa.

Don't know why anyone finds that making the protagonist of the story a fake all that interesting or a direction Hickmann would be invested into. Like he spent all his time into trying to set-up a new status quo for the franchise and the big twist is that we have been following a doppelganger all along?
