This movie has some really cool sword fights.

Ha, I was going to put up something from The Sword of Doom! I bought the Criterion Collection Blu-ray a year ago or so, complete blind purchase with me never having seen the film before, just fingers crossed that I liked it; if you can cope with the protagonist being a totally unlikable pscho it is an amazing film. I've seen it four or five times now and it never disappoints. I love the cinematography, too.

Yeah, Tatsuya Nakadai is fantastic when he plays psychos(those eyes!). It’s got a killer soundtrack as well.

The Lady Snowblood movies have some great fight scenes.

My opinion may be unpopular, but I find these fight scenes in Lady Snowblood rather laughable...

Really good Milla Jovovich fight. Even tho the glass armor exploding is kinda silly lol. She's got enhanced powers in this movie.

Awesome last action scene from a show that generally has many great scenes (but also some bad ones, like in Season 4)

After Drunken Master II, this has to be my favorite Jackie Chan fight. The thugs are pretty brutal though still confined within the parameters of Jackie Chan's choreography. The shattered glass, the motorcycle, and of course the slide down the long pole towards the end are great. However, I'll always remember the sweet tornado kick that Jackie does in this scene.

Also, glad to say that I lived just a few streets away from Wing On Plaza, the mall that was featured in Police Story when I was in Hong Kong. Bought a couple of household goods when I went there!

Probably his best fight scene, yes.

As good as Tony Jaa is, he can't entertain me as much as Jackie did. Maybe Jaa is faster and more brutal, but after awhile he gets repetitive

The Police Story mall fight is amazing. I think it's been maybe twenty years since I saw the film and I'd forgotten just how good that choreography was.

And I agree about Tony Jaa - he can do some great things, but he does get repetitive (though I saw Saat po long 2 recently, and that had some good stuff in it) compared to the kind of inventiveness shown in Police Story.

...and he is missing the charisma Jackie has.

    Still, a great fighter.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of Jackie. But I gotta admit that was pretty good.
