Default The Great Villains of Dawn of X

There’s been some discussion about the new and/or improved villains in this brand new world. Figured we can have an appreciation thread for those terrible forces that seek to undermine the mutant nation of Krakoa. Feel free to add other villainous groups and discuss possible intentions, endgame goals, and antagonist-driven concepts you’d like to see realized or comebacks you’d love to see happen! As for some of the established villains...

    ...ORCHIS...

    ...Hordeculture...

    ...XENO.

    Coven Akkaba...

    ...Apoth & the proto-Homo Novissima...

    ...Bohem Cartel.

The appreciation thread isn’t limited to these groups as we’ll surely get more new threats.

    ...Children of the Vault...

    ...Death Commandos.

YAY!! I'm loving the DoX villains...yes, even the Homines Verendi who were the stupid HFChildren under that other writer.

Appropriate thread title because the new villains have indeed been "great"! Xeno scares the crap outta me with their blood rituals at their morning tea meetings.

...and the Teleflor (does he/it have an official villain name?) I want to see more of it.

They’re pretty cool. We know that Krakoa interacts drastically with different types of vegetation. I wonder what would happen if a Plantinel were to get hold of a flower or try and merge with a Gate.

Hopefully these guys stick around for a good while and are allowed serious wins, as it's very interesting from a story perspective to see "villains" that are just punching bags to make your favorite character look cool. I'd love to see these guys start to cross paths with each other, fight/assist one another, and for some threats to flow together naturally (for example, if Hordeculture ever got their hands on that Teleforonic tech that is a nightmare scenario). I like that they cover the entire gamut. Orchis is regular folks with technology, Orchis is evolved humans with tech, Apoth (if they keep going with that) is seemingly utterly corrupt self-directed machinery, Bohem Cartel is your standard drug cartel, Homines Verendi are the flashy wealthy gang of villains casually paying off people on the street to screw over Krakoa, while Xeno are the sinister Court of Owls types who appear to politicians from around the world, and Coven Akkaba are your mystical threat. Toss in random superhumans like Paragon from Brazil, and general MU folks like Yellowjacket and Batroc the Leaper.

But once again: Please let them win battles. I know how it upsets people that Cyclops or Storm don't just drop these fools on sight, or that they get depowered, but we don't want another Sabertooth situation. Toothless pathetic villains are a waste of ink and time.

Hordeculture is (are?) the most creative x-villain(s) to debut in like a decade. Change my mind.

They could fold in a lot of past ‘anti-mutant human villains’ into XENO so that there can be more development of different types of Krakoa villains.

First time in a long time for X-History that we’ve been getting these amazing villains or creative revisions of past villains. XENO are definitely the creepiest ones introduced so far.
