We made it 14 whole posts before someone brought up the X-Men. I’m proud of CBR

I'm loving the new villains of this era. I like the fact that most of these were born as a direct consequence of Krakoa or Krakoan actions.

Yeah the breadth of new villains who likely would’ve either never existed or whose creation would’ve been stalled for a long while really coincides with just how much mutants have shifted the playing field. Almost every action they’ve taken has gotten themselves a new enemy. I wonder if we’ll see any new enemies in the Resurrection Protocols issue.

Agreed. Hickman's vision has been so all-encompassing. I'm looking forward to everything we have coming to us.

We still need a big one, most of them are organizations.

    Aren't organizations our biggest enemies?

In real life, yeah, but in comic books, the ones that stand out are individuals.

Oscorp is interesting, but the important part is Osborn.

I would think so. Any single villain would have a hard time going up against an island that includes •-[A]-• and Selene. I wouldn't be surprised if the different organizations eventually team up.

A single villain can lead many villains and create an organization.

Been loving it! I've always been fond of the Children of the Vault, and seeing them back in such a major way has me pretty pleased. Orchis is also neat, and I am eager to see more of the Telefloronics.

Well we do have Killian Devo leading Orchis. And potentially Nimrod soon as well, given that X-Men #1 ending...

Maybe Orchis and/or Nimrod will what the big summer event is about.

I think if Larry David joins Hordeculture they can hold a line-wide event.

That's true, though Osborn usually focuses his efforts on one individual as well. The X-Men are literally a nation unto themselves at this point, so anti-mutant organizations, however small or large, as the villains at this time makes a lot more sense. If an individual were to come to the forefront and take charge of one (or more) of those organizations, though, I'm thinking it could be along the lines of a so-called "homo sapiens superior," like Vargas from Chris Claremont's X-Treme X-Men who claimed to be the true evolution of humanity compared to mutants.
