Colossus Appreciation 2020

Hope Percy gives Colossus some nice character development and focus now that he has a presence in X-Force.

Most writers have a habit of ignoring Colossus and keeping him as a supportive player.

I'm excited for what Percy will do with Colossus too. I found him sounding great in the little bit we just saw him.

Although I didn't enjoy the run too much, I did like when Piotr was training some of the younger X-Men in Extraordinary I believe.

Colossus painting Mikhail doesn’t make much sense. Colossus painting his inner self outwardly, does. But it’s pure speculation at this point.

All right, so Colossus did not die, according to Percy. Even with Colossus not being in the series much, I really dig Benjamin Percy as a writer. He has made me interested in other characters I normally don't care about, and have checked out his other work in comics. So as long as JDW does not do his normal meddling with writers in regards to Colossus, I am down with Pete's return.

However, being a cynic while JDW is in charge of Colossus, I am still in a cautious mode.

I like Collosus and think he has been misused over the years and Marvel seems to only care when he is the on again/off again boyfriend of Kitty. Anything outside that seems halfhearted. He needs to be kept away from her from now on (I'm not faulting Kitty).

Maybe. It will be fun to see if it is an old school Marvel slugfest between two heavyweights. If the fight does happen, I do not want it to be on a splash page with other characters fighting, and the next page with one character on the ground. Guess we have to wait and see...

I am as well. This issue is still a bit down the road, so in the meantime, I hope to get my Colossus fix in the next few comics.
