Default Jarvis: Choose Your Side! we

They've both been charming, but There Can Be Only One! Should Jarvis be a human butler, or an artificial intelligence?

I prefer Jarvis as a butler.

The AI was fine in the movie, at least up until it turned into Vision and that's what people think of Paul Bettany as now, but a normal butler is preferable.

Are you kidding me? One of the MCU's greatest mistakes was turning Jarvis into an AI. I'm still hoping someone will fix that and say that Edwin has a descendant who will become the Avengers butler that we know and love in the present. #JusticeForJarvis

Well, the AI got us Paul Bettany as Vision so...it worked out for the best in its own way?

You know, it's funny because I think a lot of people see it that way, but Jarvis wasn't there from the beginning. He was retconned back into day one in later issues, but it was well into the third generation of Avengers before he turned up.

I know he didnt show up until later. But he did show up kind of early. I remember Hawkeye had him tied up and shot arrows at him to free him so he could show what he could do. He was also around in the Captain America Tales of Suspense stories. If I remember right he first appeared in Tales of Suspense 59 or 60 not sure the issue number but I know it was 1964. So I would say he showed up in second team. But he didnt show up on a regular basis until later.

AI. I've never been a fan of manservants or maidservants. That's so 18th-19th century. Plus, this is an age where technology and automation is rapidly replacing human labor in the work force. What better way to illustrate that than by having Jarvis get canned and replaced by AI? Maybe we can dust off that Crimson Cowl moniker and have Jarvis return as a radical labor activist and terrorist against the elites that fired him?

There was a servant that might have been Jarvis, but he didn't really become a character for quite a while, and his presences was intermittent until then.
