«It's like kids trying to write stories for adults or something.»
There is an huge difference among write a good story and try to write a great one.
«Heroism is not about being perfect or always winning, but breathing hope into the hopeless.»
Batman's world isn't realistic. It's grounded in psychological realism… In real life, Batman's crusade would be a horrible idea.[…] But in the world Batman inhabits, it not only makes sense, it's absolutely the right thing to do.

That was an involuntary pun.

And Selina was a clone too! Ha ha!!
Oh, the twist! Or, better yet: this Alfred was a bad guy pretending to be him since the previous time he was dead and came back as a bad guy (that happened, right? A long time ago?). But! But the twist of the twist was, that OG Alfred was actually a bad guy himself, a double agent for the Ghouls (or something). And now, Talia gfts Bruce a new, younger Alfred, with, er... With the memories of the second Alfred that in the end grew fond of the family, with a clone of the OG Alfred. Who happened to be exactly the same as the second, because he was a martian all along!
You know, jokes aside, the easy way would have been having Clayman replace Alfred by Bruce hand. But they want Alfred to be dead, so I guess they disregarded that plot. Now* it's not a choice, because clearly it wasn't something planned by any of the bats.

Ah, the classic "It was a dream all along."
I think this could have worked for Nightwing if the writers were more subtle and allowed/willing to experiment with the story and the format of the comic. Or if Dick were drawn out of any other interaction with the other characters in other books before he would've waken up from the coma, with or without remaining dissociation problems.
And then, you could have used Scarecrow for this for example (I know the post was talking about Superman):

Good one XD.
