I'll go for the cover without murderers and guns then:

    WestPhillyPunisher
Yeah but look at Reggie's jealous face, you know he's thinking murder and guns! LOL!

Great contest, loved the photo finish, thanks for the votes for the wonderful Bruce Timm cover.
And congrats WestPhillyPunisher (ironically) for the gun and murder free wholesome win!

Great job WestPhillyPunisher. And thanks for posting a cover that reminded me of reading comics with my dad as a kid.

Congratulations WestPhillyPunisher for arguably the most iconic cover in Archie Comics. The symbolism of the Archie Trinity sharing a drink is one we all would like to enjoy. Damn nice selection, WPP.

As to the peak of the week, what has the captain learned this week? The heart shape is a symbol for love and romance. It was one of our first icons and one which is more prevelant even today. Had I thought of it, I would have searched for a cover which had "is less than three" which we all know (at least now, you TIL people) makes a heart. <3

Thanks go to kjn and Iron Maiden for their much appreciated votes.

A trio of covers I also considered, all of them with Johnny Storm (well, two of them). But I wanted to share Jen's "EWWW!" face blown up.

For myself, I was considering Wonder Woman #69

«Speaking generally, it is because of the desire of the tragic poets for the marvellous that so varied and inconsistent an account of Medea has been given out» (Diodorus Siculus, The Library of History [4.56.1])

And Ravin' Ray, I was hoping someone would post that Not Brand Echh cover--one of my all-time favorites!

By the by, it should be noted that this was the second time "Three on a Soda" earned me a win in the cover contest! The first time was last August ("This Thread Needs More Power Girl!") when I won with this humorous entry:

    Then there's Bob Montana's version:
